NFL Week 1 - Comp Play Up
« on: September 07, 2010, 03:45:24 PM »
My favorite sport, and also the one I am the best at. I talk to most gambler's and they say they just can't ever seem to get a handle on winning betting the NFL. For me, college I am more likely to grind out a profit, but NFL I am much better at my bigger sized plays.

Here are all my numbers for the 2009 football season

NFL regular season 75-56 (+$6,660)
NFL Playoffs 6-7 (-$1,120) Plus a total of $5,540 in the NFL even with a very disappointing NFL Playoffs

What I am most proud of though is my year to year consistency. My top plays ($400 or higher bets) were 44-25 in NFL in 2009, and they were 42-26 in 2008, almost identical! In 2008 my $500 Plays/Week were 11-7, and $600 GOM plays were 7-2. In 2009 my NFL Plays/Week were 13-6 and my GOM plays were 7-0 in 2009!

 cp1
Green Bay/Philadelphia over 47   $400   Getting this out to beat any more line movement. Packers offense is in mid-season form and looks almost unstoppable. The main reason for this play though is because I think the Packers defense will struggle stopping the Eagles. Every time the Packers faced a team with multiple passing weapons last year they got in a shootout. DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, and Brent Celek will cause major mismatches for the Packers trying to cover them. Andy Reid is a savvy veteran coach who I am sure will notice on film how the Packers coverage struggles against 3 and 4 wide sets because our nickel package is very exploitable. I can't see how this game stays under 50 points, more likley they both score 30 in what looks to me to be the highest scoring week 1 matchup.   PUSH

No, sir, I have no experience but I'm a big fan of money.  I like it, I use it, I have a little.  I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in.

I do, but I am done for the year in baseball. Lines are almost impossible to beat in September.

I have no play in the NFL tonight, would have played the revenge angle on Minnesota except their offensive effectiveness tonight is seriously in doubt without the continuity of Favre being in camp. Last year they started with games against the Browns and Lions, so Favre started the season under very little pressure against bad defenses. Without his security blanket Sidney Rice and Chester Taylor also gone(Taylor led the Vikes in 1st downs on 3rd down), I have a hard time pulling the trigger on Minny. I have a small lean to the under as well, but will pass. I do have a $500 Play/Week in college though, let's get the week started right!

Buffalo + 3 (-105)   $400   LOSER (-420)

Pittsburgh +2.5   $400   $WINNER$ (+400)

Cleveland +3 (-120)   $300   PUSH

Denver +2.5   $400   LOSER (-440)

Had these late, I'm off to work...

Philadelphia +3 (-115)   $500   NFL Play/week   Much of the same reasoning for this play is detailed in the analysis for the totals play. Most one-sidedly bet game on the board by far and also the 2nd most heavily bet Sunday game.   LOSER (-565)

Green Bay/Philadelphia over 47   $400   Getting this out to beat any more line movement. Packers offense is in mid-season form and looks almost unstoppable. Seattle +3 (-115)   $300   $WINNER$ (+300)

2-4-2 for the week's NFL (-$1,055)

Rough first couple of weeks, but I have no doubt you'll get it turned around. Should actually be about even on the year I figured if not for some bullshit losses. Keep plugging away and let's start kicking the man's ass.  smbox

Yeah, we had some really brutal losses. This is a small sample of the season, I'll get this going...SOON. I am very confident in what I do for football. You guys that been with me awhile know this is just a bump in the road. As long as I keep doing things the way I always have we will be fine. Thanks for the reply, it's good to hear you haven't lost your confidence. beer2
